I'm having a weird problem with my computer. I have a 1st Gen Microsoft surface pro and for some reason the internet speeds when connected to my comcast internet Via wifi is terrible (anywhere from 0,1mbps to 2mbps), it should be around 30. I read that the surface pro 2 had internet issues related to the bluetooth antenna, but I checked and ruled that out for mine. My wife's lenovo yoga works fine on the same internet and gets about 28mbps. After messing with it I decided to just reset the computer to factory defaults. It was on Windows 10 before the reset, but the reset put it back to Windows 8.1. Still having the same issue. Weird thing is I connected my surface to the hot spot on my phone (which only gets 4-6mbps), and it pulls the full 4-6 download speeds. Put it back to comcast and it's slow again. But my wife's yoga and my phone and pretty much everything else works fine on comcast.

Any ideas???

Sure thing, can not promise any results but I will surely be able to tell you what is going on if I spot something out of the ordinary. :)

Sorry for the delay, are you still having issues?

For some reason I did not get an email of the reply you made here, sorry it happens sometimes.

Ha, same thing on your reply. Last I tested it I was still having the same issue. See any red flags with the test results?

Okay, I didn't run that program yet, but mysteriously my computer is working fine with my home wifi out of the blue now....no idea what fixed it...

EDIT:  Ack, okay no sooner did I say that did my internet slow down again. It was fine, then went down to 0.2mbps, then back up. And again, this is only on my home wifi, and only this computer. Any other wifi, or any other computer on my home wifi works fine

Complete the guide, and let me know. If you still have issues, then post a new log. :)

Looks like I'm still having issues after completing the guide. It is weird, I ran a speed test and it ran at 26mbps which is great for my internet service. Then two minutes later the internet seemed to not be responding, so I went to run a test again, and it was stuck on the ping part of the test for about two minutes, and then it started running at about 7mbps. It's like it gets interrupted temporarily, but when it picks back up, it is often slower than before....
