Hey guys!

A quick question:

Intel's Core i5 6600K has the 1151 socket, and the Corsair's Hydro H110i GTX is supposed to be compatible. But, whenever I look around at websites or benchmarks, the only sockets that are mentioned are the 1150, 1155 etc, but not the 1151.

So, is this compatible for the i5 6600K or not?

Thank you in advance!

I'm no expert and don't have much experience in the field but the CPU cooler I was looking to get is, according to the manual, compatible with LGA 115x. Now, it has 3 different holes depending on the socket size but all of the 115x go in the same hole so I assume they are basically the same size with regards to the cooler?

(I realize that the back plate doesn't really tell you much about the actual cooler but it says the same thing in the specs so I'm using the back plate to illustrate the terminology used :P)

I'm posting this not as a serious attempt to answer your question really, as I'm not qualified to do so, but I would like to know the answer too so I though I'd chip in :)

Gday.

You are correct Lokhe, the mounting holes for the heatsink/fan assemble on the socket 1150/1151/1155/1156 are identical.

Here Provin is the Intel site's socket 1151 installation video that you may find useful, > http://www.intel.com...b/CS-035683.htm

@Lokhe, @iammkyl Thank you both for clarifying this issue! I have read the manual and saw some unboxing of the cooler on Youtube and it is indeed compatible!
