I had to unhook my router for a few days and when I went to hook everything back up I'm getting a limited connection only. All the devices in my home cannot get Internet access via wireless. This includes 3 windows 10 laptops, an xbox one, 3 android smartphones, and a samsung blu-ray player. Every device says limited. I have a linksys WRT54GS router. The wireless network still popups with the same name when detecting wireless networks but I get limited. All I did was disconnect the power and remove the ether net cables for a few days. How can I fix this?

If you look at the back of your router it should have 5 Ethernet connection jacks.  4 of them are close together and one is by itself.  The one by itself should be labeled Internet and must have a cable to your Internet providing device,  Cable Modem or DSL Modem or whatever.  When you connect the one by itself to the cable from your Internet modem you should get a green light on the front panel which I think is also labeled Ethernet.  IF not check that the Internet device is powered on and showing a green light and that the other end of the cable is plugged into the proper jack.

What does the router use for its Internet?  Cable modem?  DSL modem?  Whatever it is, unplug it and your router.  Plug the Internett device in first wait 10 seconds then plug in your router.

Thanks for trying to help me out. I did do all of this already and I still have the limited wireless. I have cable and unplugged the modem, waited then plugged the modem into the Internet port (stand alone slot) on the router. The green light for Internet did come on. I tried this multiple times last night to make sure I didn't do something wrong. I can say with certainty these wires are all in the right places.

Is this anything I can do?

Call the cable company and ask them to check your modem.  They can do remote test on the modem but I expect you will find that they have disconnected you for some stupid reason.

Here are four tricks that will almost certainly fix this problem:

Reset the TCP/IP stack
Disable Wi-Fi adapter napping
Enabling Metered Connection Download
Reset TCP/IP Autotuning
