well my dell laptop monitor crapped out again

i thought i fixed this last night but its not. the dell logo comes the bios then black now just black no logo no bios windows is up in background but no video any thoughts thanks jim

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go. When it starts to boot, you said the Dell logo flashed. Have you tried to get into safe mode when it starts up? Do you have video in the safe mode? If not, then either the monitor or the video card has died. You can swap each one out with a known good one to rule it out. Start with the monitor.

If you have video in the safe mode you probably have a driver issue.
