Hey guys,

I might go for a triple screen setup for my next build, which will include an AMD R9 390 8GB card with 1 displayport, 1 hdmi and 2 dvi-d. So, this card should be able to power 3 screens right?

Also, I am looking at 21-23 inch screens, 1920x1080, because those are the best in terms of price/performance ratio.

Anyone know a nice, good looking monitor (not too expensive hopefully; 180 Euro's max per screen).

Any recommendations and criticism is appreciated!

Thanks for reading!

Gday Provin.

Yes, use the two DVI-D + HDMI. > http://support.amd.c.../search/faq/170

two links on this page, > http://support.amd.c...s/search/faq/69

As you are using a AMD GPU, info on AMD FreeSync™ technology. > http://www.amd.com/e...oI8P8HAQ#about?

Will your monitors be set up for gaming or photo/video, (workstation)?

@Technician Thank you for the info! I will be using the setup for gaming primarily. I read that the 300 series do not require that one of the connections to be displayport, is this true?

Correct, you only need DP for 4+ monitors.

Before buying your monitors I advice trying to actually view them.   Any links I give are only from reviews I have read.   3 monitors will span about six feet with the side ones outer edges closer than the centre.   You need to sit back far enough to without having to swivel your head when gaming.  One I liked the look of, > http://www.tomshardw...nitor,4336.html

Have you considered Ultar Wide, > http://www.tomshardw...nitor,4289.html

@Technician Thanks for clarifying, so I can basically use 1 HDMI and 2 DVI connections, right? Sorry for asking again, I am a total noob regarding this lol.

The monitor you linked is quite nice and of course I will try to see them first before buying. Unfortunately, the ultra wide screen is too expensive for now!

 I WAS WRONG

Thankfully you asked again.  For Eyeinfinity, you must have at least one display port cable.   Previous info will connect 3 screens but only 2 in duel mode and one separate.

Providing one monitor has a DP input, use a passive DP to DP cable,

if no DP input on the monitor/s, use a Active DP adaptor cable, DP to VGA.   DP to DVI.  DP to HDMI.
