Looking to install Windows 7 64bit on Macbook with Bootcamp. Does it matter which CD I purchase, one is $55 while the other is $132. Having a hard time figuring out the difference.

$132: http://www.amazon.co...s=windows 7 pro

$55: http://www.amazon.co...s=windows 7 pro

Hello Trippster,

Welcome to the minefield that is Microsoft OEM software licensing restrictions  :ranting:

The following from your first link here;

Use of this OEM System Builder Channel software is subject to the terms of the Microsoft OEM System Builder License. This software is intended for pre-installation on a new personal computer for resale. This OEM System Builder Channel software requires the assembler to provide end user support for the Windows software and cannot be transferred to another computer once it is installed

And the following from your second link here;

This product ships in an envelope or plastic case. it isn't for Mac.

This item is INTENDED for End-users that need to get a computer back-up and running or sytem builders that recondition older computers for resale. This item is to be installed ONLY on a Formatted Windows 7 Partition.

Is everything installed and fully updated.
