I've been searching around and haven't found anything about the particular problem I'm having. My ps3 controller randomly stopped working midgame and at first I couldn't get any of the lights to turn on, even when I had it connected (I tried connecting both to the console and PC). Resetting the controller has not helped. However, sometimes when I hit the PS button it will turn on the console even though none of the lights turn on. I can even get it to work briefly (usually just a few minutes) by plugging it into the console, unplugging the console while it is on and plugging it back in and letting it go through the system restore process. If I hit the PS button after the console boots from this, the controller works fine even when unplugged for a little while before it stops working. Even though the buttons no longer register, the light remains on indicating that the controller is still connected. This leads me to believe the problem is not the battery, but that something else has gone wrong. I didn't throw the controller or anything like that before it stopped working so I don't know what happened.

Update: I just tried turning on the controller again and it's been working fine for the last 20 minutes or so. I'm still a little concerned since I have no idea what was wrong in the first place and I don't know if it's completely fixed or not.
