Hi guys,
So I have been having wireless connection issues for a while now. What is happening is my internet will randomly just stop working, with no warning, no indication from my connection status that there is any issue at all. It just stops loading whatever I am trying to load at the time, whether it be a youtube video, or if it's half way through loading any internet page. But after a minute or so, it will continue working like normal as though nothing had happened at all. Then a few minutes later, the same problem.
I have tried several options, disconnecting and reconnecting my wireless via my laptop, resetting my router, contacting my service provider who assure me that it is not an issue on their end, and nothing has solved the problem. I have checked by using my phone to confirm that it is not losing connection as well and it is not.
I have tried researching the possible problem and a solution and from what i have found I think my issue is with my IP changing frequently. I am aware that sometimes computers do this for some reason and have discovered a way to manually force it to use the same IP therefore alleviating my problem. However I do not have a clue as to what to change my IP address to/how to find out.
I found a thread on this website from 2010 referencing my exact problem and have tried the solution outlined in the replies from hendaz (specifically the 25 Aug 2010 at 10:46PM) but for me this is not working. I'm just taking a stab in the dark here but could it be because the thread is over 5 years old that the IP address he Hendaz specifies is not working?

Thanks in advance for any help. Its appreciated
