Just upgraded to 10.

Do I need this live essentials package still?

What programs does it use?

I upgraded to 10 shortly after the general window to do so was open back in the middle of the year, and I downloaded and installed this as soon as I could, primarily for email as the built-in one is not conducive to my way of working.

Here is some Microsoft documentation on it:

http://windows.micro...dows/essentials

http://windows.micro...s#wetabs=we2012

You can choose the components you install.  If you don't need or want it, then just uninstall it in the usual way.

No, they're not.  Do you mean this:

http://www.microsoft...ional-plus-2013

That's a paid product.  Essentials 2012 is free.

Probably not, no.  But look to see if you have some packages installed that aren't included with Office 2013.  It all boils down to what you need it for.

You could start by doing a little web research independently.  However, since you haven't, take a look at the Windows Essentials webpage and see if you use one or more of the programs that make up Windows Essentials that are shown on the bottom of the page

No one here can know what programs you may or may not be using that are part of that suite or which may or may not have been installed, because you can select specific ones.  I've only ever installed Windows Live Mail to test it.  OneDrive is coming standard with Windows, though, even though it's included in Essentials.

That's probably your answer then.

Britechguy, your Windows Essentials link is pretty much the same as mine, except that mine takes you to the UK variant and yours to the US one.
