Spreadsheets mith macros that work ok in Win7 give the following message in Win 10 "Can't exit design mode because ' Commandbutton x'

Cannot be created.  A different value for X appears with each spreadsheet but the button specified is present.

Hello again Roger, i've been hearing that this is happening because of a MS update, and that if you delete he file MSForms.exd from any Temp subfolder in the user’s profile your problem should be solved.
In order to do this you need to:

1.Close Excel.

2.Start Windows Explorer.

3.Select your system drive (usually C:)

4.Use the Search box to search for *.exd

4.Delete all the files it finds.

Then try again .
Hope this helps.

File deleted but no change.

Thanks for trying, any other ideas welcome!
