I have a Samsung 65 inch curved uhd 4k tv & I recently bought an hdmi 2.0 cable, more specifically speaking, a rocketfish 8ft hdmi 4k ultra hd cable. So, I used it with my ps4 but the resolution, aspect ratio stays the same, there are no higher settings, still stuck with 1920×1080 & ,16:9 I believe it's supposed to go higher, am I missing something? Am I doing something wrong? A reply would be appreciated.

I don't think the PS4 has a higher output than HD. So your Samsung will receive an HD input signal and will probably try to upscale it to 4K.
There should be a Game Mode for you to select on your TV - if you haven't already selected if, try it out and see what you get.
