My son has a lenovo K450E and I just bought a new graphics card for his computer  the guy said it woul;d work but I am not sure I got him a EVGA GEFORCE GTX 900  will this work in his computeer

Which guy told you this, the reason that I ask is because even certain Lenovo representatives when asked did not know what PSU was in the machine, one told a customer that the PSU that was fitted was 750W but when this was physically checked the PSU was only 280W, this would not even support any average video card let alone a GTX 900 series card, not sure who will be fitting the card but I would ask that you make a note of the PSU details and post them here so we can take a look, the PSU should have a sticker on it like the one in the attachment below.

 

I got him a EVGA GEFORCE GTX 900  will this work in his computeer

 

 

There are different versions of the GTX 900 series of card, 950, 960, 970 and 980, can you tell us which particular one you have purchased, post a link if you have one please.
