I have just set up an accounts page in excel so that I can keep track of our spending. I enter for example "01/01/2012 move to the adjacent column and enter the amount.
I have tried to enter a date formula to save me having to enter the full date each time I make an entry, but if I type "02" and then move to the adjacent column to enter the amountit reads "02/01/1900 , can anyone tell me how to get round this please?
