Using my W8.1 desktop I successfully scanned a paper document. I can view the document and I see its file name: scan-201512-31.png. But I don't know WHERE it resides on the pc. I thought I could tell by clicking File/properties while viewing it but that gets no response.

Can someone please tell me how i can determine the full path to the document? Thanks.   batpark

Install Everything Search Engine. Let it start when the install completes so it can build it's index. Usually takes 10-20 seconds.

Enter scan-201512-31.png in the input area at the top and it will show you where it is.

Great little program I couldn't live without.

Ztruker: Great, thanks. Of the many flavors shown on the Everything Search Engine, . page, which should I choose? My Dell Inspiron desktop is W8.1.    .... batpark

Sort by date then look at the most recent one. To do this, click on the Date modified column header.
Right click on a file and select Open path and Windows Explorer (File Explorer) will open to that folder with the file you click on highlighted.

Edit: I just realized what you were asking. Get the one that matches your hardware and language. I use 64 bit English.
