I am upgrading my modem and want to know which setup will be the best.  Internet is used mostly for streaming (Netflix/Hulu), some gaming and surfing.  I have read you should get a modem and an access point.  Can I get by with just a modem?  I have linked the list of compatible modems.  Which of these is best?  For my uses, do I need to go with a modem and access point?

I don't see the need for a separate modem and router myself.  I have used a lot of Actiontec units and they are pretty easy to set up and pretty flexible.  Their WiFi  has really good range too.  Pretty good prices for them on Amazon.  Not the cheapest around but a good quality unit.
