Hi Callonious,

I have no idea which file you want to delete and why you want to delete that. There are a lot of ways of deleting such "sticky files" but do you want to do that ?? It may be a crucial system file, in which case deletign that file could unstabilize your PC !!!!!!!!!!

Can you post a Hijack This log here and tell me more about which file you want to delete and why ??????

Please visit this page - http://www.geekstogo..._Log-t2852.html to know how to post a Hijack This log.

It isnt a vital file its somthing i downlaoded so dont worry bout that but its acting as if it is critical :S here is some screen shots to show u what i mean.

Hi Callonious,

There are a few infections on your PC. While MEssenger Plus 3 itself is not bad, it comes bundled with infections.

I am working on the fix for removing all these infections and will post back on that.

Hi Callonious,

Please print out these instructions or copy them into a text file on your Desktop for easy access.

During the fix, u will be asked to fix some entires, delete some files or uninstall sosme programs. If in case, you do not see those entires / files / programs, please make a note of it. Continue with the fix and in your next post please inform me of all deviations from the fix prescribed.

1. Run Hijack This

Run Hijack This and click on scan. The following entires need to be fixed -

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MessengerPlus3] "C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3\MsgPlus.exe"
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WIN95DEFVIEW] C:\WINDOWS\system32\csmrs.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [saap] c:\program files\advanceddvdplayer\saap\saap.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [new active] C:\DOCUME~1\CALLON~1\APPLIC~1\LOUDFI~1\BodyDeaf.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MessengerPlus3] "C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3\MsgPlus.exe" /WinStart
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [p2pnetwork] p2pnetwork.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\RunServices: [p2pnetwork] p2pnetwork.exe

Check the boxes next to above items.

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://www.koantapec...w7lmz4uSLz.html
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.hiyxupqkh...XR3isfkcEY.html

I am not familiar with these website. If you are also not familiar with these websites, then please check the boxes next to these items also.

Close all windows other than Hijack This and click on Fix checked.

Reboot the PC in Safe Mode (repeatedly tap the F8 key when the PC is starting up).

2. Uninstall Rogue Programs

Open Add or remove Programs (click on Start ---> Settings ---> Control panel. This should be the 3rd item in the list). Uninstall or remove these programs -

Messenger Plus 3
Uninstall 180searchAssistant

As I mentioned before, Messenger Plus byu itself is not malicious but comes with bundled software. In case, you need this software, we will install it later.

3. Delete Rogue Files

Open Windows Explorer (right click on Start and then click on explore). Locate and delete the following files and folders -

C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3
C:\Program Files\advanceddvdplayer\saap

C:\Windows\System32\csmrs.exe
C:\Windows\System32\z.tmp
C:\Windows\System32\temp.zip
C:\Windows\System32\bszip.dll
BodyDeaf.exe
p2pnetwork.exe

Reboot the PC in NORMAL MODE.

4. Run Online scans

Let's check for trojans in case any are hiding, run this free online scan, scan the whole system. Let me know what it finds and the exact name and location of anything it locates but can't remove. You may be asked to install an ActiveX, please do so as this program is safe and it can not run without it.
http://www.windowsec...com/trojanscan/

Please also run one of these two scans as a backup check. I would like to know in the next post about anything that was located in these scans, the exact name and location of anything found.
http://housecall.tre.../start_corp.asp
http://www.pandasoft...n_principal.htm

5. Report Back

Run Hijack This and post a fresh HJT log here along with the scan reports from the trojan scan and the virus scan.

ok i did almost everything u said.
when fixing the first bit i couldnt find

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MessengerPlus3] "C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3\MsgPlus.exe" /WinStart

then when unistalling stuff i didnt see 180searchAssistant

and the file C:\Program Files\advanceddvdplayer\saap

also when i went into windows...i dont know What the... is going on there and i didnt see it hidden but my system32 folder wasnt there :tazz: . which you need to run as far as i know and on a search for the folder system32 nothing is found or on any of the
C:\Windows\System32\csmrs.exe
C:\Windows\System32\z.tmp
C:\Windows\System32\temp.zip
C:\Windows\System32\bszip.dll

besides that i found BodyDeaf.exe but not p2pnetwork.exe .

here are my scan results from the online scanner and HJT.
