Well, the new PSU came and I installed it today. I reset the UEFI to defaults and then reconnected the GPU. Initially, things look d great. It started to boot, but then froze once again. I had to manually power off and now it is back to not booting. Does this mean the GPU is fried?

Sorry to hear still a problem.

Can you Boot with the video card in the second PCI Express 2.0 slot if available?

Can you boot to the desktop using the iGPU?

Can you get hold of any other known working PCI-E video card?

In addition to what iammykyl has asked, can you post the brand and model name or number of the replacement PSU that you have purchased and let us know if the computer froze before or after Windows had loaded.

I do not have a second slot. The computer runs normally using the iGPU. I also don't have a backup card to try. The new PSU is a Thermaltake Smart 550W. Model number is SP-550P. After installing it, the computer froze shortly after eaching the desktop, but before it had finished loading all the startup programs. After the manual reset it wouldn't load at all anymore.

If the computer runs ok with the add on video card removed it does suggest that the video card is bad I`m afraid.

Hello all,

I sent the old card back to the manufacturer and just got a new one in the mail today. They replaced the old GPU under the manufacturers warranty. I installed the new card today and am running it as we speak. Seems to be working like a charm. I checked the temperatures after installing the new GPU. Even with the new PSU the AUX is still running at 51C. Is this a problem? Any suggestions?
