I need to get a new browser for Vista because it’s basically going out of style for windows! I have IE 9 and they're not updates available for my computer. I have Firefox but it won't work because of a issue can't load XPcom. I don't like using Firefox because of all the spam and advertisements that came on my computer and don't know if I should just delete Firefox off in my programs and features on computer. Any help would be appreciated. TY

Try resetting your Firefox:

  • Go to the Menu in the top right.
  • Open the Help menu, it has the icon of a question mark.
  • Click Troubleshooting Information.
  • Click the "Refresh Firefox" button.

If that doesn't work, you can always try Google Chrome.

Hello Harley Babie,

The two browsers I would recommend are Firefox and Chrome. My favorite is Firefox have been using it for years and never had any problems, if you would like to try and fix the firefox XPcom error you could try and follow the instructions located here to perform a clean reinstall of firefox. If you would like to try Google Chrome instead you can go to this link and download Google Chrome.
