about 4 year old Asus laptop, at first it was like a blurry flashing showing blurry colors of the background and the screen was half screened, then it went grey then white.  Rebooted does the same thing all through boot up and when gets to sign in which is half of the screen instead full screen top half is white then after a few goes to all white.

I have a video on my FB its is set to public so anyone can see it.  Thanks for any help. :)

Can you get into Safe Mode?

Does it still look the same?

Does it look normal in BIOS setup?

If it's not normal during BIOS setup then the screen has probably failed and will need to be replaced.  You can plug in an external monitor - if it works the screen is definitely bad.

The ribbons are probably bent. This always happens if you close/open the laptop too many times, but can also wear out over time. You can get new ribbons replaced in it, but screen failure might be a likely problem too.
