This is my current build, for the most part. I know it is already a decent build but I need more RAM. I know I can just buy another set of the same RAM in the build but I was thinking of getting something else.

Build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mNxf3C

I want to remove the 2 RAM sticks and upgrade to http://www.newegg.co...-_-20231888-S0D

The problem is, PCPartpicker does not have these listed as RAM yet. Will they be compatible with my current build, minus the RAM that is already installed?

I am a gamer, I run 2 TV's. I live stream most games, such as World of Warcraft and Diablo 3, and use a voice chat service named Ventrillo. At the same time, I have Google Chrome open, watching my own stream in case people chat me or to monitor how the stream looks. The streaming program is also open, called OBS along with a plugin for it called Twitch Alerts.  When I have all this up, I am pushing almost 90% RAM with almost everything else except AVG and Advanced Systemcare closed, in the background. Google Chrome takes up more RAM than all these combined.

Looks like DDR4 won't fit physically so stick with DDR3.  See:

Thank you! Saves me about $20!

The DDR4 listed on Newegg is not compatible with your MB Chipset which only takes DDR3 memory.

You have not actually run out of memory, so I don't think adding more will help.

Some programs reserve memory for themselves, but don't use it, windows will force them to release it, if needed elsewhere.   Some virus scanner hog memory.   You may have a memory leak or an infection,

Have you run a virus scanner, like malwarebytes?   Does your computer slow down and get laggy?   What is the utilization of the CPU?

Sorry, bit late with my reply.

You're fine. I do not use malwarebytes. I have had issues with it in the past and do not trust or like it. I have not run anything in a while. I will do so now.

I use AVG, Advanced Systemcare 9 Pro (system optimizer) and iObit Malware Fighter(came bundled with Advanced Systemcare 9 Pro)

I forgot to mention that I also use a webcam while streaming. I have not used it lately due to this issue. My RAM pushing 90% is without the cam.

I scanned, using AVG, iObit malware fighter, and also ran Advanced Systemcare and nothing was found. I got Spybot search and destroy and a few things were found and I got rid of them using its built in removal. I now have only Battle.net launcher open along with 3 tabs of google chrome and I am at 76% of my RAM. All the programs listed above, except AVG are closed.

Edit 1: With World of Warcraft and now 2 tabs only open on Chrome, I am at 94% RAM.

Edit 2: I did a restart. Have World of Warcraft, the Battle.net launcher open, all them antivirus and spybot items open, 2 tabs of Chrome, and Ventrillo open and I am at 58% RAM. I last restarted my computer last night.

Not a big fan of IOBIT/Advanced Systemcare or Spybot.

Get Process Explorer

Save it to your desktop then run it (Vista or Win7 - right click and Run As Administrator).

View, Select Column, check Verified Signer, OK
Options, Verify Image Signatures

Click twice on the CPU column header  to sort things by CPU usage with the big hitters at the top.

Wait a full minute then:

File, Save As, Save.  Open the file Procexp.txt on your desktop and copy and paste the text to a reply.

Now run it again and click twice on Private Bytes column header.  This should sort things with the biggest memory hogs at the top.

Not sure why I can't just do CTRL ALT Delete and look at my processes tab to see and tell you that it shows World of Warcraft with the most at 1.7GB of memory followed by Google with 160MB of memory, and then System and Compressed memory with 125MB?

After I typed this message, World of Warcraft dropped down to 240MB and System and Compressed memory jumped up to 600MB.

You can use task manager but I can't see it.  This also makes sure you have no malware since it checks the signing for each file.

Looks healthy except for the IObit garbage.  If you feel you needs something like that then use MBAM instead of that Chinese ripoff.  https://forums.malwa...eft-conclusion/

Looks healthy except for the IObit garbage.  If you feel you needs something like that then use MBAM instead of that Chinese ripoff.  https://forums.malwa...eft-conclusion/

That was posted in 2009. I didn't get iObit until like 2012 or 2013. Does it give me the ability to do exactly what iObit does in terms of boosting system performance (Spyware Removal, Registry Cleaner, Privacy Sweep, Junk File removal, Registry Defrag, System Optimization, Disk Optimization, Turbo Boost to close unnecessary programs to name a few?) ? I paid for it, I am at least gonna run out it's license. I have never had any problems when it came to running iObit on my computer. I run their entire suite and have never had to go through the hassle of having to wipe my hdd or fight to remove a virus or nothing since I got it back then.
