we have a system at work called nagios.. the OS is linux , i dunno which version.. To monitor it and do some editing my supervisor uses command lines ...
do u have a simple basic command lines for linux pdf or ebook . i want to stud it.

The first I can suggest is to install one of the Linux distributions to the virtual machine so you can learn not on the live system!
Do not do anything on your production server unless you positively sure that you did know what you do.
You can find a lot of information in the web about Linux and it's commands but I can suggest you the classical "Unix and Linux" by Evie Nemeth
It's a great book for every serious system administrator
If you didn't need to go deep then you can look here for example for basic commands examples.
I need to repeat that it's a good idea to be very careful with your Nagios server.
User with administrative privileges can break the system completely without any system notices unlike Windows.
