so i am building a pc for my friend, 1000 is the budget, here is the one i came up with
http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/whDncf

someone on the forums says this one is better ( http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/XrxFzy)but i personally disagree because he is a light gamer, he dont need an ssd in my opinion and the micro atx board throws it off as well, not to mention i believe the processor in the first one is better then the i5-6400 but id love some feedback edits etc, note: only Canadian sites as we cant order from the us or we get charged alot so plz use http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/

thanks.

SSD's would do him better if he's a light gamer.

Your build parts are all compatible, but given you say "he is a light gamer", I thinbk the GPU is over the top.   A non K CPU, you do not need an aftermarket cooler, even using the Turbo mode, the stock cooler is more than capable.

Here is mine to consider, higher clocked RAM, slightly cheaper, PSU with 5 year warranty, GPU, good gaming at medium settings, Optical drive and OS,

Although the second build does have a slightly lower performance CPU, and yes, the SSD could go, being a new build, not an upgrade, I would go for the better featured platform.

Skylake build to consider. Z170 board, future K CPU upgrade, > http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/p9Y2Hx

Gday,

Sorry I missed you reply, slid off the window and did not see it.

As the budget is limited, the gpu will be in the lower performance bracket, this review is done, some comparison to console, > http://www.eurogamer...-fallout-4-4023
