Hello friends i need help understanding the difference between the target values.

Target attribute could take those values _blank
_parent
_self
_top
framename

Well _blank opens the link in a new window
_self opens the link in the same window
framename opens the link in the frame you want

now _parent and _top can anyone show me exemples to understand what they do ?

_parent and _top are rarely used in modern design as they apply to frames within the page.

target="_parent" opens in the previous level up of a frame if they were nested to inside one another

target="_top" This breaks outside of all the frames it is nested in and opens the link as top document in the browser window.
