I am helping a friend set up a few of his old Wilife Logitech cameras on Blue Iris.  He sees them fine on Command Center and on online.wilife.com.  He wants to be able to view them on his Apple and Android phones.  The problem is that online.wilife works only on windows phones as it works only on Silverlight.  We read a few forums that tell us how to get the IP address of the cameras (which we did).  We try to plug it into the setup screen of Blue Iris but we always get an error that video is not found.  We tried to configure the video feed on VLC but that also did not work and feed was not found.  What are we doing wrong?  The tech he is using is going via USB into PC and not through Ethernet into router which would have been easier.  We can't figure out how to make BI detect the cameras.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Here's what one user said from Here. "For Android, I use IP Cam Viewer and specify Blue Iris".

http://www.deskshare...era-viewer.aspx

Maybe that can help you. Personally I don't know much about it my information comes from a search.

Joe, thanks for your link. I checked what they offered for suggestions and I did try those before but unfortunately it still does not work.  Maybe I am missing something.  I tried opening the ports on router but I don't think I would need to do that since the cameras are connected to PC via Ethernet, not via router.
