I have an Access database which was copied to an USB device and has become corrupt.  I am getting the following error message: The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object 'Databases'.  Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name correctly. (Microsoft JET Database Engine). I have attempted to repair the database, run the JETCOMP.exe, import the data from another Access database, SQL Server, Excel; and continue to get the same error. I do not need the forms, queries, reports or macro's, only the table data. I am looking for a reliable company to look at the database and extract the data or software to get the data out. Thanks.

Copied via Access application or was the database copied via Windows Explorer (file explorer copy, for example)?

You can use the Compact and Repair Database command in Microsoft Office Access to prevent or fix these problems. Check out -  http://wordpress.sem...epair-database/

btw ... that particular error is not good ... in the context of 'normal' repair processes (C&R, JetComp, etc).

Hi,TuomasHeino,

First of all, you can try the build-in "Compact and Repair" command in Access to repair your corrupt database, you can get more detailed info at:

http://office.micros...A010341740.aspx
http://databases.abo...13-Database.htm

If the above method does not work, then you can try third-party Access data recovery tools, such as DataNumen Access Repair at:

https://www.datanume.../access-repair/

I have used the tool in the past and it helps recovering some valuable data for me. The tool has a free demo so that you can try before you buy.

Hope that helps! Good luck!

However, I have also found one article which I would like to share here. Just like Microsoft, the article have also mentioned some free ways through which you can easily repair you corrupt MS Access database files.
You guys can give it a read. I find it very informative.
