Did you try to execute the commands posted on the f.lux website https://justgetflux.com/linux.html?

 

You need to open a terminal window as Root.

I get this message: E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

root@chromixium:~# sudo apt-get install fluxgui
Reading package lists... Error!

Try with another source:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nathan-renniewaldock/flux
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install fluxgui
