Ps3 remote says please reconnect the remote

I've had this problem for about a year and i don't know how to fix it everytime I try to play I can't cause it says this.....here's what I did,i charged them and i tried reseting them ect. So I need help its up to yall and please help if u know how

Hello Jaskoncj... and :welcome:

 

 

 

  1. Disconnect the controller from the PS3.
     
  2. Press and hold the tiny reset button for 10 seconds.
     
  3. Reconnect the USB cable to the controller.
     
  4. Press the PS button (if this doesn't work, try pressing Start + Select at the same time).

 

 

Another user's response with slight variation:
 

 

One thing you might try is unplugging the controller. Then take a pin and press the reset button on the back of the controller. Plug the controller back in and press the PS button. Once it is synced unplug it and give it about 10 seconds to sync back up wireless. If that doesn't work you might have to turn off the PS3 then turn off the main power in the back for about 15 seconds.

We had a similar case back in 2009.  Have you tried this:

 

PS3 controllers have a memory, there's a tiny hole in the back of the controller which is a reset button. stick a paperclip in or something and then turn on ps3, put the usb in and press the ps button. should sync straight away
