I have downloaded very large files to a laptop and want to transfer those very large files to a flash drive to be able to put them on my gaming laptop ...
I get the message that the file is too loud ... is there any way I can get around this?

Make sure the flash drive is formatted as NTFS not FAT32 that have a file size limit of 4GB.
Caution formatting the drive will delete everything on it!

How big is the file?
How big is the flash drive?
Are both computers on your local network? If so you could transfer them using the network.

2 files totally about 14GB (game clients of WoT past clients)
16 GB
no, one is my personal laptop and the other is my school laptop
My problem is solved though guys, thanks ... changing the format made it so I can transfer them.
