microsoft xp color

There are games I play that require 256 color or 16 color but when I go to dispay properties and then to settings it doesnt give an option for either. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :tazz:

Try setting 256 colors in the Compatibility properties.

Right click on the icon/shortcut for the game and select Proerties. On the Compatibility Tab, set the Display Settings to "Run in 256 Colors".

I don't know what to suggest for 16 color games.
