Hello everyone, let me start by saying I have limited experience with iPads (I don't own one), but I am pretty familiar with IOS. Basically, I have a user that travels a lot, and only uses their laptop for email and printing word documents or web pages. They currently use an older laptop and a small usb desk inkjet printer. Their laptop is on its last leg and another user in the company suggested we look at getting the traveling user an iPad. He currently has an iPhone, so I think he could adjust well, the only problem I see is printing. I have tried to read up on AirPrint printers, but the issue is the printer may not be able to access all of the hotel wireless networks like the iPad can, killing their ability to print. However, I was wondering if he connected the AirPrint printer to the wireless hotspot function of the iPad, would he then be able to print? Theoretically I think it should work, but I was hoping someone could confirm before I purchased a new iPad and printer. Also, can anyone tell me, does the Apple version of the Office Suite come stock on iPads, or does it have to be purchased? Thanks for your help!
