I forgot my Windows password and was told to remove lithium battery for 10-25 minutes. This has caused no bootable device warning and won't allow me to do anything.

:welcome:   Becky Jane Bugg,

As per the GTG Terms of Use we cannot help you with the password but can try and help with the no bootable device warning, have you gone into the BIOS, reset the time/date and made sure that the hard drive is the first boot device or second boot device after an optical drive if one is present.

While we will not help you with getting around passwords we can advise you as to how you can have this resolved using legitimate means, take the computer to a reputable tech local to you or have them come to you, you will need proof of ownership such as the sales invoice, picture ID such as a driving licence/passport and proof of your address such as a recent utility bill.
