This ASUS was Win8, when I bought it and I upgraded to 10.  Now I was going to do a Windows backup, and the control panel choice is:

Backup and Restore (Windows 7)

Why is this?

Hi,

The tool is to help people who created a backup of their files using the Backup and Restore tool that's used in Windows 7.

It backed up as 10.

You should still be able to restore your files.

The name is to indicate the backup method is the same as it was in Windows 7, nothing more.

The new Win 8 method is File History.

The best method is to do image backups to an external USB hard drive using a program like Macrium Reflect Free or Pro.
