Using W10 on a deskop with IE 11.... I see how to pin apps to the Start screen.

How do I place one of those tiles, say Firefox or Open Office, onto  my Desktop? And how do I switch from the tiles display on Start to the old fashioned icons on the Desktop?

Is there a URL out there that lists answers to such basic questions?

Thanks. ...batpark

To get the old style Start Menu, install Classic Shell.
