I can't tell which update is failing to download. But if it's the first one on the list (see attachment), then the reference is KB3106614.

From there uncheck all the updates except the ones named Security Update for Windows 7* see if you can install those.

Was able to download. When I clicked install, it got stuck on "Searching for updates on this computer." Should I let it continue to search?

Cancel. Run Minitoolbox with the option List last 10 Event Viewer Errors set and post the log.

Stop the Windows Update service and then try to install the update KB3081320 again.

Tell me the result.

I think that I stopped update service a few steps ago. So there didn't seem to be anything to stop. So I tried to download update KB3081320 and nothing happened. It just continued trying to download as always.

When you stop the service and then restart the computer the service starts again.

The idea is to download the file from the site and then install manually but you have to stop the Windows Update service before installing.

Thanks for the explanation. So I stopped the service and tried the update. Same result. Did it twice just to make sure. I noticed that when I tried to download the update that the update service started again.

You didn't download the update using Internet Explorer?

OK. I just downloaded it with Internet Explorer and got one step farther. It went through Search for Updates, and then it said Update is not appropriate for this computer.
