I'll usually be playing a game that isn't too intense on the laptop and have some tabs open in Chrome and it just suddenly freezes and then crashes or I have to force a shut down.. I'm not really sure how to identify the problem. I got this laptop hand built last Christmas and it's been great, but stuff like this is making me worry. Also, very rarely will my laptop seem to make ticking noises along with the fan if it gets loud, but that's normal sometimes, isn't it..? Could that mean the fan is running too fast at those times and that's why it's doing that?

I wasn't really sure where to post this, but I appreciate any help I can get. Thank you!!

Hi jir,

Sorry to hear of the problems you are experiencing with your computer.

It is not normal for a laptop computer to make clicking noises and this could be the precursor of mechanical failure.

As this machine is fairly new the best advice would be to contact the vendor of the computer and get them to fix it under the guarantee/warranty or consumer protection legislation applicable in your jurisdiction.

It would be better not to try and fix it yourself for fear of prejudicing your position under the above.

regards
