Hi Exports,
I just tried to open an AutoCAD file it opened fine then 45 seconds later I get an "AutoCAD LT Error Aborting"
Says:

"INTERNAL ERROR: !U:\global\src\corecad\coresrc\laymgr.cpp@955: eLock VIolation"

Having Saved the file to the desktop the error message became:
Fatal Error: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0040 Exception at 6bf87eh
What does this mean and how do I overcome it to be able to view the file?

Thanks!

Hey, are all your dwg's doing this? did you try to recover the dwg? file menu->drawing utilities->recover. if it gets recovered make sure to save it. Or if it's doesn't work try use DWG Recovery Toolbox for resolving this issue. It's all what I can advise. http://www.oemailrecovery.com/dwg_recovery.html

Hi,AkseliJaakkola,

First of all, you can try the build-in "Recover" command in AutoCAD to recover your corrupt DWG file, you can get more detailed info at:

https://knowledge.au...Corruption.html

If the above method does not work, then you can try third-party DWG recovery tools, such as DataNumen DWG Recovery at:

https://www.datanume...m/dwg-recovery/

I have used the tool in the past and it helps recovering some valuable DWG files. The tool has a free demo so that you can try before you buy.

Good luck!
