I scanned my computer using the latest up to date version of SuperAntiSpyware and it came back with saying PUP.MyPCBackup was a variant and that its a virus. My question is this, is or isn't MyPCBack a virus a.k.a trojan virus of some kind? And if so than how do I remove all of this virus / trojan from my computer. Hello :)

It's not a trojan virus, but MyPCBackup operates on deceptive behavior. I've included a couple of links to some information that describes the deceptive practices employed by this software. We have users remove it whenever we encounter it on a machine due to this.

You should be able to uninstall it from the Control Panel, however, you can always use Revo Uninstaller to make sure it's gone. I've included instructions below for Revo should you wish to use it.

Hope this is of some help to you. :)
  • Please download and install Revo Uninstaller Free
  • Double click Revo Uninstaller to run it.
  • From the list of programs double click on The Program to remove
  • When prompted if you want to uninstall click Yes.
  • Be sure the Moderate option is selected then click Next.
  • The program will run, If prompted again click Yes
  • When the built-in uninstaller is finished click on Next.
  • Once the program has searched for leftovers click Next.
  • Check/tick the bolded items only on the list then click Delete
  • When prompted click on Yes and then on next.
  • Put a check on any folders that are found and select delete
  • When prompted select yes then on next
  • Once done click Finish.
