son went on and downloaded a zip file photo and theng ot winzip and avast premeir free trial

 a fake chrome gray icon appeared in taskbar

i could not uninstall or delete winzip or chromium files in temp folder

 

reinstalled win 7

it would not update win 7

 

did a dept of defense erase with dban

 

reladed win 7 still wont let windows update

 

ive attached the farbar scan files

 

please let me know what to do i am very frustrated with it

 

and my son feels really bad he messed up my computer

 

i can donate to the site for some help i am just screwed.

• As much as we like to make this a easy process for you. Malware removal is a complex multi-step process, and things may happen such as data loss or render your machine unbootable. I would recommend that you backup your personal data before we proceed.
• Posts that are not replied to in four (4) days will result in the topic being closed. We have not forgotten you; this is just an effort to keep the boards organized and flowing. To continue on your closed topic, please PM me or any Moderator to have the topic reactivated. Re-Scan with Farbar's Recovery Scan Tool (FRST)

• Right click to run as administrator (XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
• Please ensure you place a check mark in the Addition.txt check box at the bottom of the form before running.
• Press Scan button.
• It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from.
• Please copy and paste log back here.
• Because you selected the Addition.txt check box this log will be created as well. Please also paste that along with the FRST.txt into your reply.
