I want to view my bank statement (non-excel) and my checkbook register (excel worksheet) side by side and be able to edit the worksheet.  I have windows 10 and Excel 2013.

 

Prior,  I had windows 7 and excel 2013 and could do this by clicking in taskbar and choosing "show side by side" but this wont work with new OS.  I am in a real quandry and need help

To show apps side by side in Windows 10, you can either drag one app to the left and it will expand to fill the left portion. You can then select another open app to place on the right side.

 

An example of what this looks like is available here

• Load the two documents
• Press and hold the Windows key and the left or right arrow keys. The current window will be resized and placed at the left or right side of the screen.
• Click on the second window and it will fill the other side of the desktop
