Open the "Control Panel --> Power Options" from the left pane of the Power Options Windows click Choose when to turn off the display and at next screen select the time limit for turning off the display for laptop running with battery and plugged in system.

The problem seems to not be an issue anymore, it automatically dimmed again. I cleared some stuff out with CCleaner, maybe it was a registry error.

There is no such a registry cleaner software that can repair registry errors this includes CCleaners if you know how Windows registry works you will agree with me specially about the part where CCleaner registry cleaner been a useless peace of a software that cannot repair any Windows issues including your issue.
