Hi and thanks for any and all help here. ok my PC took a dump. I was running a gigabyte GA-p35c-ds3r mobo , and a Geforce 6800 graphics card. this card went south and PC shuts off as soon as it is turned on.  take out the card pc stays on.

I picked up a Geforce GT 710 2gig ddr3 card. put it in the mobo nothing shows,so now I found a gigabyte GA-p35-ds3r FSB 1333.

the new card works sorta on the new mobo. It wont install driver from nvida.

P35c say it uses both ddr2 and ddr3. I had ddr2 ram card is ddr3.. I know that you can't mix them on the board not sure about board to card.

P35 only has slots for ddr2 so is the ddr3 graphics card the issue?
