Hello, I'm going to sell my old iPhone 6, I found there're many private messages on it and I deleted them, but I was worried if the other guys could recover my deleted messages? If so, how can I make the deleted messages never be recovered by any softwares?

Well, this is not normal but if the guy was smart enough, he can get the deleted messages back in 3 means:
1. He had the iTunes backup of the phone (less impossible)

2. He got your iCloud account (possible)

3. directly scan the phone and recover deleted files from the device.

So you should be very careful before selling your phone.

I don't think the "already deleted messages" can be recovered due to the messages was over written by new data.

If you don't believe it, then you can test it with certain data recovery software. I am sure the result will be a big surprise.

If you are keen with your data, then here is a great guide on this: how to permanently delete iphone messages. Hope this helps. It works great on my iPhone 6S.

You can have a try this to deleted data on your iphone . Tap “Settings” -> “General” -> “Reset”. Select “Erase All Content and Settings” and tap “Erase iPhone” to confirm. Although, you can deleted data. But in fact, this way doesn't permanently erase iPhone data. When you use some data recovery tool, you can recover deleted data easily. So you need one powerful tool to permanently erase data from iPhone without restoring.

These inputs are very useful. I thought that if messages are deleted long ago, the memories would be overwritten by some other data, and eventually completed erased.

I do not know it is right or not. But i do read some opinion said, if the storage been rewrite so many times, the chances is zero to get back old message. But if just delete that, and just format it for the one time only, the chances could get the data still 50/50 chance but only the expert could get that

If you need to delete data from your idevices completely, use an ios data eraser tool, I think that is helpful.

You can erase all data without possibility to recover them, but remember to backup them first.
