Thanks, temps and voltages look ok, please uninstall HWMonitor and Speedfan when you are ready.

One further thing to do before we look at the HDD some more;

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here,  this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

No bother at all and thank you for checking back with us  :thumbsup:

Speccy should not take that long so something must be holding it up, we can try something else to see if we can determine what it is.

Download Process Explorer which you can obtain from here if it will not download use the portable version that is also available there.

Save it to your desktop then run it (Vista or Win7 - right click and Run as Administrator).

View, Select Column, check Verified Signer, OK

Options, Verify Image Signatures

 Click twice on the CPU column header to arrange things by CPU usage, this will put the services with the highest CPU usage at the top of the log.

Wait a minimum of a minute then grab a screenshot and attach it to your next reply for us.

NB: It is getting late here and I have an early start so will be going offline shortly, apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause

Those readings are very good and do not show anything that is hogging system resources.

Download then run CrystalDiskInfo and post a screenshot of the results for us please, download from here

Edit

Got to call it a day now I`m afraid but will check back asap tomorrow, will leave some additional wok for you to do, see info below courtesy of Ztruker;

Use msconfig to determine what is causing the problem

These are good tutorials on using msconfig in XP, Vista or Windows 7:
How to use msconfig in Windows XP
How to use msconfig in Windows Vista
How to use msconfig in Windows 7 and Windows 8

Click on Start then Run, type msconfig and press Enter.
Click on the Startup tab (for Windows 8, the Startup tab has a link to open Task Manager/Startup tab. Use that.) make a note of what is currently starting then click the Disable All button.
Reboot and see if it runs better.
If yes then use msconfig to enable several items at a time till you find the culprit.

If no, start msconfig and click on the Services tab.
Check the Hide All Microsoft Services box, record what is currently starting then click the Disable All button.
Again, do a regular boot, see if it runs normal.
If yes then use msconfig to enable services until you find the culprit.

Once you've found the culprit, uninstall it or find out how to eliminate it from your system. Simply disabling it in msconfig is a temporary fix at best.
Enable everything else you disabled.

Hello alisonmunandar,

Thanks for the screenshots which unfortunately show that the HDD has issues, namely bad sectors.

Before I suggest anything else I would recommend that you back up all important data from the HDD asap and then create a back up image of the HDD which can be used in the event that the HDD fails completely, please see the tutorial provided courtesy of Essexboy here for how to create the back up image.

Let us know when you are ready to test the HDD and I will provide the necessary information for you.

Good Day phillpower2,

I have tried msconfig and disable all the buttons on the startup tab, it didn't show any good result though. Right now i'm backing up all my data as i'm writing this post, after this i will try the service tab method. Since you said that my HDD has an issue, are you suggesting that i immediately replace the HDD?

And one more thing, ever since i used "Last Known Good Configuration" i lost all the files in download folder and i also noticed that all the files in download folder (which i recently downloaded) dissapear everytime i start windows. How can i fix this issue?

Thank you

G`Day alisonmunandar,

No, not immediately, as per my reply #23;

create a back up image of the HDD which can be used in the event that the HDD fails completely, please see the tutorial provided courtesy of Essexboy here for how to create the back up image.

As soon as you get one bad sector on a HDD more will follow and the HDD diagnostic tools that are used involve a stress test which can cause a flaky drive to fail, the idea behind creating the back up image is so that it can be loaded onto any new HDD should the original one fail during testing, think of it as a safety net.

And one more thing, ever since i used "Last Known Good Configuration" i lost all the files in download folder and i also noticed that all the files in download folder (which i recently downloaded) dissapear everytime i start windows. How can i fix this issue?

No point in trying to fix anything on the present HDD atm as what you are encountering could be the result of bad sectors on the HDD and on the disk area where Windows is trying to store the said data.

You are welcome btw  :)

No worries as been rather busy myself  :thumbsup:

Before replacing the HDD you will need to obtain the product key for Windows 7 to use with your recovery USB, use the Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder (free) for this, write the info down, keep it safe and share it with no one else, once you have the key information safe I would at least test the HDD if only to confirm for yourself that it is bad, we will provide the testing info for you if and when you require it.
