In searching the registry for a program to be removed (Opera), you end up with a lot of open hives. Is there a way to quickly collapse the registry without the seemingly hours long one at a time way?
Collapsing the registry quickly, can it be done?

Not sure what your goal is but to remove Opera it is best to do so through the Control Panel > Programs and Features. Find Opera in the list of installed programs, right click and choose uninstall.
Software applications include their own uninstallers and once executed in the manner I mentioned above should remove all original files and folders the keys in the registry point to. No need to even go near the registry, which I would never advise anyone to do if they are not familiar with the registry.

Removing opera via control panel is easy. The problem is reinstall of Opera (another version) which conflicts with registry keys for the version of Opera deleted.
