Hello!
thank you for your time in advance.
I've recently had to replace my HDD in my computer. I reinstalled another HDD from another computer that I knew worked (OS already installed [Windows 7]) and since then when I turn It on there's no response from the monitor but the Mobo lights up, all the fans are on but no bios boot.

Specs:
Mobo: m2nkpv-vm
graphics card: Radeon had 5670
OS: Windows 7

if there is any other information you need provided to help me diagnose the problem just ask ! Thank you for your time and sorry I'm not all that tech-savvy.

Hi TinyGoats and welcome to our forums.

:welcome:

You will almost certainly need to install Windows 7 (or your chosen operating system) to your computer before you will be able to get it to work satisfactorily.

The chances of a hard drive with an existing installation of Windows on it  (from another machine) working satisfactorily (without a full installation of Windows on your computer are pretty remote.

Post back if you need any clarification.

Regards

Hello TinyGoats,

Welcome to the community!!

Will you please answer some of my questions?

1.    Are you able to boot your system in safe mode?

2.    Is the hard drive was working properly before the replacement?

3.    After getting this issue, have you checked your hard drive by inserting it into another system?

Hello TinyGoats,

As far from my experience, the hard disk that installed with OS with a pc, doesn't work satisfactorily on another pc with different motherboard configurations as the drivers are not present to support your newer pc motherboard, as paws suggested reinstalling windows with newer pc will help you.

Hope it helps.

Gday TinyGoats,

when I turn It on there's no response from the monitor but the Mobo lights up, all the fans are on but no bios boot.

Are you saying, not even a Logo flash on the monitor?

What happens if you power on, without any HDD connected?

Can you enter EFI/BIOS, with or without HDD connected?
