Sorry for the delay John.   I could not find any exact tutorial for what we are doing so, fired up my old XP machine ran Reflect.   I do not have an exact C drive disk to use.   I have created three partitions to demonstrate the steps.   Take no notice that they have different drive letters and the sizes are slightly different to yours.   Perform the numbered steps on each screen.  Please read through and let me know if you have questions.

When cloning is finished, Please start  disk management, go full screen, save a screenshot and upload it.

Edit. Screenshots not arranged as I wanted and am unable to correct.

The order to view is,

1  >  2

3  >  4

5  >  6

To begin.

1 start Reflect.

2. Left click Disk 0 to select, then under it > click Clone this Disk.   A new window opens.

3. click on Select disk to Clone to,, a new window opens.

4. Left click Disk 1 to select it,  A new window opens.

5. under Disk 1 > click on Cloned Partition Properties.

Hi iammykyl,

Don't worry about the delay, it's no problem, I know you have other things to attend to! :D

When I follow the steps I get the attached screen.

Should I click continue?

Thanks

John

Should I click continue?

Yes.   That is you SSD.   On the screenshot, just under Drive, it says None, (no drive letter assigned yet), click Continue.

!!!!!

The diskmgmt looks OK to me.

The BIOS shot.  Looks like the BIOS is trying to boot windows from the SSD, (Disk 1) on SATA 2 port, where it was when cloned.   The SSD (Disk 1) is now plugged into SATA 0.

Lets have a look before we try changing anything in the BIOS.

Power on and enter setup, go tho the Boot screen, take a pic and upload please, then

Power off, > plug the SSD into SATA 2, > Boot to see if you get to the Desktop.

Swap back the drives, HDD to SATA 0.   SSD to SATA 2.  > Power on.   Does XP boot? if yes.

Restart, > press F12 to display the Boot Menu, take and save a pic. > if two hard drives are displayed, > use the down arrow to highlight the second drive, > press enter.   Does it boot to XP.

It seems, unlike a regular BIOS, which can sequentially boot progressively from multiple Boot devices, the Dell one is limited too two devices.

Take a look at img 2210 in Reply #128.   we will try moving Drive 1 SATA 2, up one, place in the boot order.   Refer to the Manual bottom of page 112, "Changing Boot Sequence" > https://www.manualsl...page=112#manual

After making the change, Save setting, > confirm, > press Enter.

Fingers crossed you arrive at the Desktop.   Start Disk Manager, the SSD should be at the top of the two disks, Save a screenshot.

Hi,

When I highlight the Drive 1 SATA 2 I cant seem to move it up or down , it only seems to have an ON or OFF option. Looks like it's set to on.

i think on that screen you hit enter and if there is more than 1 hard drive connected it will then give you a menu list of connected hard drives so you can select which to boot.

1.   Start Disk Management and take a screenshot please.

2.   Shut down, connect the SSD to the other SATA port, > restart and enter Setup.

3.   Go to Drives, > click the + sign, > highlight Disk 0, (make sure drive is set to ON, > Take a pic. > restart

5.   If no Boot, post the error.

6.   If Boots to Desktop, > start disk management, > take  screenshot.
