I have seen many download ads for products that claim to truly erase the hidden logs of where you have been on the web. Do any of these products actually work or is it a scam?

The site and the item there that you sent me to, to download, is for XP version........not for my Win98.

Thanks for your time as I would like to know if these so called "hidden files" exist, and if they can be erased.
