My boss has asked me to get a good P2P program for the teachers here to use. Problem is I can't find one that supports non transparent proxies, I have tried Kazaa with some results but while the install program supports the porxie, the P2P network does not. So any help would be great.

Perhaps suggesting to them for an FTP? There are some very good FTP programs out there to use and is very user friendly. If you can convince them for that, I suggest WS_FTP.
