My system unit, an acer aspire wont not boot when i turn it on. the system fan starts up and for a very short period it stops and system cannot boot. Please help me with this situation.

When the fan stops does the computer power down completely.

 

Do you get anything on the screen at all, the Acer logo for example.

 

Which particular model of Acer Aspire is it, there are various models of both notebook and desktop computers.
