Upon bootup, I always get this message: the module failed to load. 

 

I have run the farbar recovery scan tool and got the attached.   Addition.txt   32.4KB   582 downloads  FRST.txt   49.5KB   609 downloads

Looks fairly straight forward

Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

CMD: bitsadmin /reset /allusers

Save this as fixlist.txt, in the same location as FRST.exe

Run FRST and press Fix
On completion a log will be generated please post that

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your Desktop.

• Close all open programs and internet browsers.
• Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
• Click the Scan button and wait for the process to complete.
• Click the logfile button and the log will open in Notepad.
• Click on the Clean button follow the prompts.
• A log file will automatically open after the scan has finished and the PC has rebooted.
• Please post the content of that log file with your next answer.
• The report will be saved in the C:\AdwCleaner folder.

The failed to load message doesn't come up anymore! Thank you so much for the help!!

 

I have one more thing though. My start menu doesn't open when I click or press start button on keyboard. I'm using windows 10.

This is a laptop. The start menu doesn't open on the keyboard on the laptop nor the external keyboard I use which is a logitech k270

If you have not installed any software for the keyboard, try this and assign the windows ley to the start button http://support.logit...d-k270#download

The problem isn't the hardware. The menu doesn't want to come out at all. Neither clicking it with the mouse or pressing the start buttons works

wow I have actually got a start menu now haha! It's not windows 10 but it'll do, thank you!

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean

A good workman always cleans up after himself so..The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:

Remove tools

Download and run Delfix
Select the options as shown



Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free programmes:

Malwarebytes

Update and run weekly to keep your system clean

Unchecky

Click on the link above to be taken to Unchecky.com
click the very large Download button.
click Save
Click Open folder
Right click on the Unchecky_setup and choose to Run as Administrator
Once open click the Install button.
Then click on Finish
Unchecky is now installed and will help you keep unwanted check boxes unchecked, this is a fire and forget programme
